Jah Lions Soccer Team
Haiti is crazy about soccer. Most Haitians can tell you what you need to know about the sport and about the teams they support. While soccer is huge in Haiti, the country itself doesn't play a strong role on the international scene. However, there is a national league and various local and regional competitions. Jah Lions, the team managed by KONPAY founder Joe "Rasta" Duplan, is a talented and ambitious crew that won't let anything come between them and their sport.
Games are usually played at the brand-new sea-side stadium in nearby Cayes Jacmel. If you happen to be around for a game, don't miss chance to see the Jah Lions in action, to take in the atmosphere of an intense match, and get your ears full of Rara bands doing their part to make it an unforgettable experience. |
