Habitat by the Sea "Ti Kay bò Lanmè," formerly known as Kay Joe Kompound, is situated on a cliff right above the Caribbean Sea in Cyvadier. This unique bed & breakfast is located about 5km East of Jacmel in the South East Province of Haiti, and is the operating hub for KONPAY's "Jen pou Devlopman Sivadye" Saturday Youth Program. There, 6 guest rooms are available for travelers and volunteers, alike. Equipped with laundry services, kitchen, ice-box, and wireless internet, the Seaside Bed & Breakfast offers opportunities for relaxation, learning and volunteering. Cool off at the nearby Cyvadier Beach or Raymond Beach, where locals gather for fun and food on the weekends. Hang out in a rocking chair overlooking the ocean, go shopping for arts and crafts in downtown Jacmel, take in the old-time beauty of the city's architecture, celebrate Carnival, enjoy a nap in a hammock while listening to the surf, or volunteer your time assisting with KONPAY's latest projects.
There are 6 rooms available at Habitat by the Sea. Two shared-bath rooms are situated in a beautifully designed separate two-floor cabana. The remainder are in the main house, each with their own private bathroom options.

Accommodations include breakfast and dinner, and lunch may be arranged upon request. Proceeds from Habitat by the Sea helps to fund the social and environmental programs run by KONPAY.

How to Get Here
Cyvadier and Habitat by the Sea are located just outside of the city of Jacmel, nestled in a bay at the Southern shores of Haiti. Jacmel is about 3 hours away from Port-au-Prince and the International Airport Toussaint Louverture. Cars with drivers can be hired for approximately $100. There is also a public bus that leaves for Jacmel from Portail Leogane for approximately $25. Individual pick-up and transfer can also be arranged for single and group travelers. Just ask us about it!
From Jacmel, the historic sea-side beauty of Haiti and home to the brightest and largest of Carnival Celebrations every year, it only takes approximately 10 minutes to arrive at Habitat by the Sea.
